Pat McFarland,

 Started competing at State level 4-H equitation. In 1980, she received a B.A. in Equestrian Studies at the prestigious Lake Erie College. She also earned her BHSA Inat Talland School of Equitation in England.

Since then she has successfully competed with Yves Sauvignon of Oakridge Stables in Santa Rosa.

Pat has studied with a variety of noted professionals including: Gwen Stockebrand, Mele Van Bruggen, Sally Swift, Linda Tellington-Jones, J. Ashton Moore, Elizabeth Searle, Deb Bennett, Charles De Kunffy, Dominique Barbier, Bill Biggs and Chris Von Stetten.

 

EDUCATION and QUALIFICATIONS:

Owner, manager, trainer, instructor of the Mcfarland Ranch a private equestrian facility in Point Arena CA 

09 - 11 2009 Observed and assisted Julia Contreras' Equine Assisted Behavioral Therapy at my Ranch; Donated my horses and facility for Redwood Coast Children’s Services program

1999 - 2002 Founding Family of Pacific Community Charter School classroom aid to 1-8 Math class, chaperon on all field trips and special activities

1997 - 1998 Appointed then elected to the Point Arena Joint Union School Board

1994 - 1997 Board member, classroom aid, parent at Acorn School

1980 - present Student of Yves Sauvignon of Oakridge Stables in Santa Rosa CA
